Courting ConvergencE
Fall 2024
From Fall 2023 (see below), I learned that the four topics below were the best fit for this format. The other three topics are not done justice in this brief context. If you’re interested in the other topics, please reach out for a private or semi-private session.
We’re still working with stillness and movement. With emotional alchemy for greater convergence with the forces of life and love. To move beyond loops of disintegration and integration within the family system and towards a greater convergence with all of life.
Mavericks, magicians, and misfits will enjoy these immensely. Philosophers and practitioners of the helping, healing and evolutive arts will not be disappointed. Couples will find synergistic buoying. Last year’s students are very welcome to come and practice again.
The hour and a half experiences will employ family constellations field and philosophy, embodied somatics, emotional alchemy and an orientation towards courting the Third; the life force that connects us. Bring something specific. Or bring a general desire to be with others and these topics.
4 Mondays 6:30-8:00pm EST
November 11th - Dreams
We won’t be interpreting nighttime dreams or symbols. We’ll take a step back and pause to appreciate the imagery of our waking and sleeping lives. Instead of dream analysts, we’ll be dream accompanists, using dreams to access self-warmth and as a tool for feeling that sweet spot where our individuation meets our collective belonging. You don’t dream? That’s OK. We’ll learn about stances and practices of courtship and curiosity to build relationship with our dreams.
November 18th - Grief
Grief often needs accompaniment and still presence more than, or at least before, it needs love. Bring your old or new grief to this gathering, to the family constellations field, where we’ll acknowledge grief and aim to access the tenderness, gratitude and nuance that grief gifts us. What wants non-invasive spacious accompaniment to be felt and seen?
November 25th- Anger
Employing gradual and subtle somatics and a healthy dose of playful levity, we will aim to loosen a sticky fixation we have around being wronged by someone or something. We’ll collect clarity from our anger and then tenderize it, owning it anew in passion, fuel for advocacy or other contribution.
December 2nd - Writing For Convergence
We’ll use writing prompts to experiment with what’s hot and cold within us. What’s to celebrate? Lament? Where is our ambivalence a prompt? Maybe we’ll calibrate the hot and cold to warm and cool. Maybe we’ll witness or get a sense of where the Indian and Atlantic oceans make a splash within us.
Exchange: $160 for all four sessions. Also includes a private 30min constellation.

Courting ConvergencE
Fall 2023
Catharsis and integration are important and feel great. They are part of this, too. In a broader sense, these seven sessions will be joined by the idea that beyond catharsis and integration, there is a stillness that courts the momentum of convergence. Convergence meaning an allowed alignment with the life force where we imperfectly embrace our fates and circumstances with courage and conviction.
After a brief orientation, the sessions will respond to the inquiries, expressions and curiosities of who shows up. We’ll attune to one another with our own self-warmth and be open to surprise and movement as a group.
The hour and a half experiences will employ family constellations philosophy, somatics, emotional alchemy and an orientation towards courting the Third; the life force that connects us. Bring something specific. Or bring a general desire to be with others and these topics. Come to one or come to them all. Come as you are.

October 12th, 19th and 26th - November 2nd, 9th, 16th and 30th
————————————————
October 12th - Dreams
We won’t be interpreting nighttime dreams or symbols. We’ll take a step back and pause to appreciate the imagery of our waking and sleeping lives. Instead of dream analysts, we’ll be dream accompanists, using dreams to access self-warmth and as a tool for feeling that sweet spot where our individuation meets our collective belonging. You don’t dream? That’s OK. We’ll learn about stances and practices of courtship and curiosity to build relationship with our dreams.
October 19th - Grief
Grief often needs accompaniment and still presence more than, or at least before, it needs love. Bring your old or new grief to this gathering, to the family constellations field, where we’ll acknowledge grief and aim to access the tenderness, gratitude and nuance that grief gifts us. What wants non-invasive spacious accompaniment to be felt and seen?
October 26th - Images for Disentanglement
We can be entangled both in being too distant and too close. Estrangement isn’t synonymous with disentanglement. We’ll learn about staying with an image to sustain the right distance to love from. We’ll gently drop our heads with gratitude and respect as we consider how to know when it’s time to “leave it here.”
November 2nd - The Alchemical Third
In balanced give and take, people contribute equally to the alchemical third that nurtures the relationship. Within ourselves, we can make space for distressing binaries to loosen using representative image, ecology and body. We’ll use poetry and other art to court the alchemical third and non-conceptual essence.
November 9th - Politics and Purpose
Politics as in the organization of people. Purpose as in the conscious and iterative contribution we make from where our good relationship to pleasure and power meet. We’ll acknowledge where our gifts meet our limitations from our family system. We’ll acknowledge where our marginalizations meet our privileges in the collective. We’ll acknowledge the edges in our activism.
November 16th - Anger and Cathexis
Employing gradual and subtle somatics and a healthy dose of playful levity, we will aim to loosen a sticky fixation we have around being wronged by someone or something. We’ll collect clarity from our anger and then tenderize it, owning it anew in passion, fuel for advocacy or other contribution.
November 30th - Writing and Convergence
We’ll use writing prompts to experiment with what’s hot and cold within us. What’s to celebrate? Lament? Where is our ambivalence a prompt? Maybe we’ll calibrate the hot and cold to warm and cool. Maybe we’ll witness or get a sense of where the Indian and Atlantic oceans make a splash within us.
